Troubleshooting guide and other resources for the FSA-26000 smoke alarms from MATelec Australia. These instructions also apply to the FSA-15000, -18000, -20000, AND -25000.
Use this FSA-26000 troubleshooting guide for superseded model codes FSA-15000, 18000, 20000, & 25000.
TESTING THE ALARMS
Testing Your FSA-26000 Smoke Alarms
We recommend testing your FSA-26000 Smoke Alarms monthly to confirm they are working correctly.

Test Button
Press and hold the TEST button for three seconds until the alarm sounds.

Alarm Sounds
The alarm will sound for approximately 10 seconds.

Normal Operation
After the test, the alarm will automatically return to normal operation.
NOTE: Smoke alarms CANNOT be HUSHED while in TESTING mode.
NOTE: Smoke alarms CANNOT be TESTED more than once in 5 minutes. (Units commence recalibration in this time period)
FACTORY RESETTING
Factory Resetting FSA-26000 Smoke Alarms
To restore your FSA-26000 Smoke Alarms to their factory settings, follow the steps.

Remove Unit
Remove the unit from the base

Remove Battery
Remove the battery from the unit
- 3
Test Button
Hold the test button for 15 seconds
- 4
Repeat on Wired Interconnected Alarms
Repeat for any interconnected alarms
- 5
Secure Alarm
Reattach the alarms to their bases
- 6
Reinstall Battery
Reinstall the battery/s in each unit
