TESTING THE ALARM
TESTING YOUR FSA-30000 SMOKE ALARMS
We recommend testing your FSA-30000 Smoke Alarms monthly to confirm they are working correctly.
TEST BUTTON
Press and hold the Test button for two seconds. The alarm will sound three short chirps, pause for 1.5 seconds, and then continue sounding until you release the button.
ALARMS SOUND
For interconnected alarms, press and hold the Test button for five seconds. The alarm you are testing will sound first, followed by all interconnected alarms, confirming that the wireless network is operating correctly. After the test, check that the red LED on each alarm is flashing. This will continue for three minutes to indicate a successful test.

FACTORY RESETTING
FACTORY RESETTING FSA-30000 SMOKE ALARMS
To restore your FSA-30000 Smoke Alarms to their factory settings, follow the steps.
TURN ALARM OFF
Remove the smoke alarm from the mounting bracket and ensure the switch located on the back of the alarm is in the OFF position.
PRESS CONTROL/ON
Press and hold the CONTROL button while moving the internal switch to the ON position. The red LED on the alarm face will illuminate for 3 seconds.
UNPAIR ALARMS
When the red LED turns off, release the CONTROL button. The LED will illuminate again for another 3 seconds. During this time, press the CONTROL button once to unpair and reset the smoke alarm. The red LED will then flash for several seconds.
ALARM RESET
When the red LED stops flashing, the smoke alarm has been returned to its factory default state.

How to Factory Reset MATelec FSA-30000 Smoke Alarms
BATTERY INFORMATION
FSA-30000 SMOKE ALARM BATTERY INFORMATION
FSA-30000 Smoke Alarms are powered by a 10-year non-replaceable sealed battery.
If the low battery indicator occurs (one flash every 40 seconds accompanied by one chirp every 40 seconds), the smoke alarm has reached end of life and must be replaced.
ALARM PAIRING
FSA-30000 SMOKE ALARM PAIRING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow the below steps to pair the FSA-30000 alarm with another FSA-30000 smoke alarm. When one alarm is triggered, all alarms in the connected network will alarm.
TURN ON ALARMS
Rotate the mounting bracket to the ON position to switch each smoke alarm on.
CONFIRM OPERATION
Press and hold the CONTROL button for 2 seconds.
The alarm will chirp indicating correct operation.
CHOOSE MASTER ALARM
Choose one smoke alarm to act as the MASTER unit.
- Apply the MASTER sticker (provided).
- This ensures future SLAVE alarms can be added easily
Recommended: Choose a smoke alarm located centrally within the residence. If your system includes both wired and wireless alarms, designate a centrally located wired alarm as the MASTER.
ENTER PAIRING MODE
Press the CONTROL button three times within 2 seconds on the MASTER alarm.
The BLUE LED will illuminate for 30 seconds, indicating pairing mode is active.
MASTER ALARM PAIRING
The MASTER unit will automatically search for SLAVE alarms.
Pairing mode will time out after 30 seconds of inactivity.
If pairing does not complete, repeat Step 4 to restart pairing mode.
CONNECT TO SLAVE ALARMS
On the SLAVE unit, press the CONTROL button three times within 2 seconds.
- If the LEDs on both alarms turn GREEN for 3 seconds, pairing is successful.
- The MASTER alarm LED will return to BLUE, ready to accept the next SLAVE.
- The SLAVE alarm LED will turn off, indicating it has completed pairing.
REPEAT FOR MORE ALARMS
Repeat Step 6 for each additional SLAVE alarm.
