FSA-26000 Smoke Alarm Troubleshooting Guide
NOTE: THESE INSTRUCTIONS ALSO APPLY TO THE FSA-15000, -18000, -20000, AND -25000
TESTING YOUR FSA-26000 SMOKE ALARMS
We recommend testing your FSA-26000 Smoke Alarms monthly to confirm they are working correctly.
|
1. Press and hold the TEST button for three seconds until the alarm sounds. |
|
2. The alarm will sound for approximately 10 seconds. |
|
3. After the test, the alarm will automatically return to normal operation. |
FACTORY RESETTING FSA-26000 SMOKE ALARMS
To restore your FSA-26000 Smoke Alarms to their factory settings
|
1. Isolate mains power by pressing the ‘push to open’ tab on the side of the unit and removing the head unit from the base. |
|
2. Remove and replace the battery. |
|
3. Press and hold the TEST button for 15 seconds. |
|
4. If multiple units are interconnected, repeat steps 1–2 on all additional units. Important: Do not replace any batteries or reattach any head units to their bases until all interconnected units have completed steps 1–2. |
|
5. Once every unit has been reset, replace the batteries and reattach each head unit to its base. |
REPLACING THE BATTERY IN YOUR FSA-26000 SMOKE ALARMS
|
1. Isolate mains power by pressing the “push to open” tab on the side of the unit and removing the head unit from the base. |
|
2. Remove and replace the battery. |
Low Battery: The alarm will emit a low-battery audible beep every 30-40 seconds. Replace the battery as soon as this occurs.
